In the present simple, add -s to the verb after he, she, it or one person: he plays, Noura reads. After verbs ending in sh, ch, ss, x or o, add -es: she watches, he goes.
في المضارع البسيط نضيف s إلى الفعل بعد he وshe وit أو اسم شخص واحد: he plays. ومع الأفعال المنتهية بـ sh أو ch أو ss أو x أو o نضيف es: she watches.
I play → he plays · I watch → she watches
Examples
- Saud plays football every day.
- My mother reads a story at night.
- Lama watches cartoons on Friday.
- He goes to school by bus.
Wrong: She like apples.
Right: She likes apples.
After she, the verb needs -s: likes.في العربية يتغيّر الفعل مع الضمير (يحبّ / تحبّ)، وفي الإنجليزية نضيف s مع he وshe وit.
